6-1. Options Settings
These
core settings are essential to KP-Backup's operation. - Start
KP-Backup Admin.
- Click the Options button to
display the Options window.
- Configure the options according to the guidelines below.
- Click the OK button to apply the options.
- Click
the Save button to save the options to disk.

| Version (Required) | Choose your FileMaker Server version (5.5, 7, or 8). |
| Path (Required) | Enter the path to where FileMaker Server was installed. A default path is entered for you when choosing the version (above), but your particular setup may differ. If so, click the "Browse" button to navigate to the FileMaker Server folder. |
| Password | Enter a password ONLY if you have FileMaker Server 7 or 8 configured to use one. You MUST leave this field blank if FileMaker Server does not have a password configured. |
| Email Address | Enter an email address to receive error notifications from the service. |
| SMTP Server | Enter the address of your SMTP server. |
| AUTH User |
To use the SMTP-AUTH protocol, enter an authorized username. |
| AUTH Password |
To use the SMTP-AUTH protocol, enter the password for the above username. |

Please ensure your SMTP server is configured to allow the
sending of emails from the computer on which KP-Backup is installed
